The key purpose of the Summer Youth Employment Program here at Community Action Partnership of Providence (CAPP) is to provide Providence and Cranston’s young men and women with a summer-long adventure that is more than just a job, but a true learning experience incorporating workshops, on job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy, and opportunities to continue education and social growth. These principles include engaging the talents and interests of youth, developing their skills and competencies, and providing positive adult role models with lessons about how to obtain a job, how to keep a job, and how to turn any job into an investment of time and effort for the future.
