CAPP's Executive Director Melissa Husband was honored at an awards luncheon today by the YWCA Women of Achievement Award. Melissa's work in the community as Executive Director of CAPP was the reason for recognizing her as a Woman of Achievement and also her active membership on many boards, commissions, and committees including:
- Co-chair of Mayor Jorge Elorza’s Housing and Neighborhood Development Committee
- I-195 Commissioner
- Public Utilities Commission Advisory Board Member
- RI Coalition for the Homeless Board Member
- United Way of RI Community Investment Board Member
Melissa was among a group of amazing women that included "...a diverse group that includes educators, public service officials, non-profit leaders, an attorney, a veteran, a nun, a doctor, a performer, a coach, and a partnership that collaborated with YWCA to offer an App Challenge for middle school girls," according to the YWCA Women of Achievement website.
